The U11 East Girls (Coached by Andy Kaasa and Tim Bunnell) won the U12 C1 East/South Regional playoff game 1-0 over Prior Lake on Wednesday night to advance to the U12 State Tournament. The girls scored 2 minutes into the game from a corner kick that was volleyed into the net. The girls worked hard defensively and had solid goalkeeping to see out the 1-0 win.
With this win, MTA will have 3 of the 6 teams in the U12 State Tournament. The U11's will be in the opposite bracket at the U12 State Tournament from the U12 East group. The U12 East play the U12 West in the first game in their bracket.
